The world is in transition, it’s a rocky time. We are constantly bombarded with information, stress and fear. All the demands, responsibilities and uncertainty of modern life can be draining, making you feel bereft and empty. It might feel as if the well has run dry.<\/span><\/p>\n I have found that having a regular creative practice can be restorative and soul nourishing. It is one of the best forms of self-care that is also fun and rewarding. And self-care is very important in today’s world. Like the instructions they give you on an airplane – “Put the oxygyn mask on yourself first” – because otherwise, you can’t be helpful to anyone else.<\/span><\/p>\n Engaging in a creative endeavor tends to provide a \u201crefresh and reset\u201d. It is a portal into \u201cthe zone\u201d. Something happens during our moments of creativity that is difficult to quantify.
